Activist San Diego Board member Dr. Darwin Fishman will give a report back from his recent visit to Geneva, Switzerland where he attended a special United Nations meeting devoted to a Permanent Forum for people of African descent within the UN. This meeting was part of the formal work being done now as part of the me decade 2015-2024 devoted to people of African descent by the UN.

Amnesty International USA staff will hold a press conference at the San Ysidro port of entry at 10 a.m. sharp on July 2nd to launch their latest report "Saving Lives Is Not a Crime: Politically Motivated Legal Harassment of Migrant Human Rights Defenders by the USA".

Take a late lunch break and turn out to protest outside of the Federal Building that houses US authorities targeting human rights defenders at the border, endangering migrants, and asylum seekers in the process.
