Amnesty International USA staff will hold a press conference at the San Ysidro port of entry at 10 a.m. sharp on July 2nd to launch their latest report "Saving Lives Is Not a Crime: Politically Motivated Legal Harassment of Migrant Human Rights Defenders by the USA".

Let’s make some noise! Take a late lunch break and turn out to protest outside of the Federal Building that houses US authorities targeting human rights defenders at the border, endangering migrants, and asylum seekers in the process. Saving lives is not a crime! Everyone deserves safety and freedom!

Join San Diego Audubon and the Port of San Diego as we restore coastal sage scrub habitat at Grand Caribe Shoreline Park in Coronado. Coastal sage scrub has declined dramatically in our region, and we have been replacing non-native plant species with natives in order to create better habitat for the birds and other wildlife.

The Space Bar Cafe & Wine Bistro welcomes poets and musicians to the open mic that is also shared by a feature. July's feature is San Diego spoken word treasure Rudy Francisco. There is no cover. The Spacebar offers a deli that includes everything from pizza to smoothies and everything in between.
