Display period:
When you view the calendar you can choose the display period you want
to view to Year, Month, Week, or Day. This function is found at the bottom
of the calendar with the other calendar functions.
Display style -- Block vs List:
If you there is a lot of text in the pop-up windows,
you may want to change the display style from Block (conventional calendar)
to List, which shows each event and its pop-up text side by side. This
also allows non-Javascript capable browsers to see the pop-up text (many
time Internet Explorer has trouble with javascript and will give an error
message when you try to view the pop-up windows. If you have this problem,
you should set your display style to list so you can see the pop-up window
text).
Absolute position (Abs) vs current week start (Slide):
Absolute position means that the monthly calendar displayed
starts with the week of the 1st of the month. Sliding position means that
the monthly calendar displayed starts with the current week. Be careful
using the Sliding feature, as your users may expect the monthly calendar
to start at the beginning of the month
Search Function:
The Calendar Search function at the bottom of the calendar
will open a pop-up window in which you can enter text to search for.
Printing the Calendar
Use the file print function to print the entire calendar
Printing the pop-up windows:
Put the mouse pointer in the popup window. Right
click and create a shortcut. It will go on your desktop. Go
there and double
click on the new shortcut. The popup window text
will then appear in a normal browser window, from which you can print.
Or view the calendar in list mode and print from there.
