Activist San Diego would like to welcome any folks interested in social justice issues effecting our communities to our General Meeting on Monday June 15th at 7:00pm at the Joyce Beers community center in Hillcrest located at 1220 Cleveland Ave. Feel free to stop in at our Social Justice Ice Cream Social to chat with folk working on the various issues that will make our lives here in San Diego more sustaining and less alienated. There will be some good tunes, good conversation with good people and great ice cream from a local ice cream company (vegan ice cream will be provided). Food for Thought

"If we do not fix our health care system, America may go the way of GM - paying more, getting less, and going broke"

-- US President Barack Obama in his speech to the American Medical Association (AMA)

~~~~~
"President Obama went to Saudi Arabia, for instance, before he made his speech in Cairo and he went there to try and induce the Arab countries to recognize Israel the polite way and without trading numbers with Israel. And progress was being made, but with the demand Arab countries have to recognize Israel as a Jewish state, it's a very serious problem."
-- Former US president Jimmy Carter: PM created obstacles to peace
