ASD News and Views

Activist San Diego Film Series Committee would like to send our apologies to anyone who attempted to attend our showing of The Price of Pleasure on September 8th at the Queen Bee Cultural Center (formerly known as the 8teen Cultural Center) in North Park. As the posted note on the front entrance of the center stated, ASD does not control access to the Queen Bee Cultural Center and the center's management made an error in their scheduling calendar which resulted in our not being able to gain access to the center in order to show the film. Activist San Diego Film Series will reschedule a showing of this film at a future date. Thanks for the understanding...

Food for Thought

"Bill Maher asked me on his show last week if America is still a great nation. I should have said it's the greatest show on earth. Forget what you learned in civics about the Founding Fathers - we're the children of Barnum and Bailey, our founding con men. Their freak show was the forerunner of today's talk radio."

-- Bill Moyers: Uncivil Discourse, www.truthout.org
