Jesuit Massacre: Prospects for Justice, 20 Years Later.”
Carlos Mauricio, a former professor at the University
of El Salvador and himself a survivor of police torture
in El Salvador, who successfully sued the generals responsible
for his torture, will speak about the Jesuit massacre
case. The Rev. Marta Benavides, a Salvadoran human rights
activist who worked closely with martyred Archbishop
Oscar Romero, and is a 2009 participant in IPJ’s
Woman PeaceMaker program, will provide comments from
her own experience in the area of historical memory.

a columnist with The New York Times, will speak on "Half

required. Kristof will talk about his journey through
Africa and Asia and his encounters with women struggling
