Food for Thought

Our scientific power has outrun our spiritual power. We have guided missiles and misguided men.

-- Martin Luther King, Jr.

~~~~~
Our society is run by insane people for insane objectives. I think we're being run by maniacs for maniacal ends and I think I'm liable to be put away as insane for expressing that. That's what's insane about it.
SATURDAY, JANUARY 9, 2PM: Ring in the New Year Protest for LGBTQ Rights and Workers Rights. Manchester Grand Hyatt, 1 Market Place San Diego. It's been two years since Doug Manchester, owner of the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel in San Diego, contributed $125,000 to anti-LGBT rights campaigners -- an early infusion of cash that paid for the signature-gathering drive that put Proposition 8 on the ballot. Members and supporters of San Diego's large LGBT community immediately called for a boycott of the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel and a coalition led by the San Diego LGBT community and the labor movement announced a formal boycott of the property. Two years after Doug Manchester's contribution to Proposition 8, the boycott of the Manchester Grand Hyatt continues. More Info
