Help San Diego Audubon get ready for Least Tern nesting season!

With your help, we’re working to remove invasive plants from North Fiesta Island to promote nesting by the California Least Tern (an endangered species) and create space for native coastal dune plants. Plus, we get to go into an off-limits area on Fiesta Island!

The event will be on January 27, 2013 from 9am-12noon. Meet just outside the tern fence on Fiesta Island in Mission Bay.

Volunteers should wear long pants and sturdy shoes, and sun/rain protection as weather indicates. Work gloves will be provided, but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own pair if available. We’ll have water, but don't forget to bring a reusable water bottle for refills!

If you have any questions, want directions, or to RSVP, call or email our Conservation Program Manager, Rebecca Schwartz. (858) 273-7800 x 101.
