ICWJ General Meeting
Friday, January 8th, 2016

What a fantastic way to close the year! We were able to collect dozens and dozens of toys for Janitors' families this month, and today, they were distributed to those families at SEIU-USWW. It is truly a blessing for families who constantly struggle to make ends meet to know that they will be able to provide a gift for their child during the holiday season.

As you know, this season has also been difficult for the 1,700 Haggen workers who recently lost their jobs. This unexpected travesty caused many families to suddenly wonder how they were going to make it through this holiday season. We are happy to share that many of these workers have been able to find new work. Thanks to UFCW Local 135, some workers have even been hired at select Vons stores and have been able to keep their benefits, vacation days, sick days, and seniority.

We are excited to share that ICWJ was able to raise over $1,500 in gift cards and cash to help Haggen workers who have yet to find a job and whose families are still struggling.

We know that each donation made has helped make the season a little brighter for struggling families. THANK YOU.

We will be gathering once again for our January General Meeting. However, we will be meeting the second Friday of January since, the first Friday is New Years Day. We hope to see you there!
