The San Diego PoetrySLAM will be sending a representative to the 2018 Women of the World Poetry Slam (Wowps).

We will be having a special slam to select our poet!!!

Rules & FAQ's

Can a man enter the slam???
No. Only women will be allowed in the slam because only
women can compete in WOWPS.

Who can I compete???
Yes, as long as you identify as a woman and you have 3 poems

What is the structure???
1st 2 rounds will have a 3 minute time limit and the last
round will be a 1 minute round.

How can I sign up???

Show up to Queen Bee's and sign up that day. We have 14 slots total, 2 slots will be reserved for current slam team members, 8 slots will be 1st come 1st serve and there will be a lottery for the last 4 slots.
