Come help manage invasive plants in Mission Bay to protect the endangered CA Least Tern! 60% of this endangered species nests in San Diego County, and they need your help to make sure their chicks have the best possible chance of surviving.

We will be working to remove invasive plants from one of the Tern's nesting sites on Fiesta Island. The meeting location will be on the northern edge of Fiesta Island in Mission Bay. This site is rather difficult to find, so if you plan on attending please RSVP with our Restoration Program Manager, Megan Flaherty, at flaherty@sandiegoaudubon.org or (858) 273-7800 x106. She will provide directions.

Volunteers should wear long pants and sturdy shoes, and sun/rain protection as weather indicates. Work gloves will be provided, as well as all other tools and water. Bring a reusable water bottle for refills!
