We are all on standby for the decision to come down from the Supreme Court on the Muslim Ban case. We have a few requests of our friends and family:

We ask all of our organizations to help amply the following messages:

President Trump’s Muslim Ban is unconstitutional and directly contradicts our dearly held value of religious freedom for all. No-one – not even the President – should be able to treat you differently simply because of where you were born or how you pray.
Multiple courts have already found that the Muslim ban does not pass legal muster. During the past eight months, both the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit have ruled against the ban.

During oral arguments, it was clear that some Supreme Court justices agreed, asking pointed questions to challenge the contention that the ban does not constitute religious discrimination.
Several justices highlighted the clear connection between the ban and President Trump’s bigoted campaign speeches and tweets about Muslims.
Other justices eviscerated the Trump Administration’s claim that the latest version of ban, which was issued as a presidential proclamation, is not a ban because it allows individuals who meet certain criteria and demonstrate great need to receive waivers.

This case is about protecting our constitutional right to religious freedom – one of our country’s foundational values.
By overturning the ban once and for all, the Supreme Court has an opportunity to protect one of our most sacred constitutional rights.
Allowing the Muslim ban to remain will escalate a deeply disturbing precedent and open the door to more blatant discrimination against people based on their race, religion, ethnicity or country of origin.
The Supreme Court must reject the ban in all its forms or it will affirm that xenophobia, bigotry and intolerance take precedence over our core constitutional rights.

Muslims are just one of the communities under attack by this administration. As President Trump has fought to keep the Muslim Ban in place, he’s also waged a broader war on immigrants, from ending Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and temporary protected status (TPS) to ordering mass deportations. This is a fight for our nation’s soul, and we must fight back against attacks on any group.

We also ask our friends and families to turning out and showing up to #StandWithMuslims on decision day.

We are asking each organization to turnout 50-100 people for this cause.
We have set up a system that we can notify folks about an event in their city on a decision day. Please ask folks to use the sign up so they are notified as soon as a decision hits.
