The San Diego May 1st Coalition, Border Angels, Activist San Diego, and the Social Justice Ministry team of the First Unitarian Universalist Church of San Diego invite you to participate in the formation of a regional and bi-nationa...l network of activists and organizations committed to immigrant rights and social justice in the US/Mexico border region.

By joining with other organizations who share common goals, we can maximize our impact. We can respond more creatively and powerfully.
The network will allow separate organizations and individuals to share information, facilitate communication, develop higher levels of collaboration, and work together to achieve common goals in our border communities.
We can grow a network that nurtures all groups and individuals who strive for human rights and social justice. A powerful, flexible, responsive, adaptable, and multi-faceted body that draws on the strength of its diverse elements.

The network will be a non-partisan and inclusive space that will welcome different perspectives and visions and strategies. It will encourage on-going education and the constructive exchange of ideas.

Issues to be discussed:

SOCIAL JUSTICE: Border Militarization, Raids and Deportations, Immigrant Detention, Immigration Reform, Community Support, Immigration Politics, and the Anti-Immigrant Movement

ORGANIZING THEMES: Network Building, Community Outreach, Student Outreach, Media Operations, Cross-Border Solidarity, Legal Issues
