~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mexican Solidarity Coalition (San Diego) There hasn't been a time in Mexican history when the social movements have scored such impressive gains since the1930s, perhaps even since the Mexican revolution of 1910. Mexico is sure to come under huge US and internal financial and political pressure to undermine this progressive wave that swept a new party, MORENA, into power across the country; a movement that is threatening the narco-state & monopoly of power by financial interests &a corrupt system.
The Mexican Solidarity Coalition formed along the border with these objectives:
1. Supporting the movements for social transformation in Mexico, with people to people solidarity.
2. Exposing US interventionist efforts, ending political, social, military and economic interference.
3. Spreading the example of broad-based social movements among Raza and Mexican immigrants in the US to make change here. The primary focus will be to empower immigrants to mobilize for change here, while supporting change there.
4. We will be stronger together! Protecting the rights of immigrants, stopping mass deportations & family separations, ending abuse at the border, respecting asylum rights by mobilizing the people.
There is no country in the world that will have more influence in the struggle for social justice and the transformation of the corporate-dominated, monopoly capitalist US than Mexico!
