I'd like to invite you to join our Public Power Educational Forum, Thursday, March 18, 2021 5:30p to 7:30p. At this forum we'll have national, statewide, and local energy experts on the panel. Some of the topics will address the relationship between CCA and Public Power. We'll hear mutual benefits for San Diego Community Power and Public Power. You’ll also hear from Arevon, a large commercially operated energy management firm that offers turnkey public power operating services.

Additional Special Guest Speakers:

This will be an opportunity to gain more details from the recent Public Power presentation at the Environment Committee. You'll also hear from Mr. Ryan's firm Arevon Energy Management who was part of a team that bid on providing a turnkey public power program for Boulder, CO in 2020. He will provide an overview of the Boulder full services public power proposal and how that approach might be adapted to San Diego.

Background & Invitation to Attend:

As you may know, the City of San Diego is in a great position with the expired utility Franchise for a transformational energy source opportunity with public power, a community-owned-utilities. If the policy for the Franchise is done correctly the City and our communities would benefit greatly to include a process to transition to a public power energy source. Many groups and organizations are working on this initiative and we have a public forum next week, March 18th. I’d like to invite you and your staff to attend to hear details and specific benefits including revenues for a community-owned-utilities from energy experts (statewide, nationally, and locally). Please see attached a flyer for the Public Power Educational Forum, March 18th at 5:30p.
