Can you choose your face?
Yellow Faceis the story of a world famous Asian American playwright, a Caucasian actor who gets his big break, and a Chinese American banker living the "Jimmy Stewart life." Written by Tony Award-winning playwright David Henry Hwang (M. Butterfly), Yellow Face explores the complexities, contradictions and comedy of the construct of race.

The play intertwines the historical events of the 1990 casting controversy of Miss Saigon, the 1996 Campaign Finance Controversy during which a number of Asian Americans were investigated by the Senate Foreign Relation Committee, and the 1999 accusation of espionage against Wen Ho Lee, with a fictional story about a world-famous Asian American playwright who accidently casts a white man in his leading Asian American role.
