In accordance to the ASD By Laws…

The Nominating Committee of Activist San Diego invites its members to elect new members to the ASD Board of Directors. The vote will take place on Monday June 16, 2014 at 7PM at ASD’s general meeting at the Joyce Beers Community Center located at 3900 Vermont Street, San Diego, CA 92103.

Since George Bush the Second was installed into the White House in 2004, Activist San Diego has been holding periodic People’s Balls and Counter Inaugural Balls to contrast with the multi-million dollar extravaganzas of the ruling elite. Our events have featured Cindy Sheehan, Donna Frye, Media Benjamin, John Elliot and dozens of our local unsung heroes.

Joyce Beers Talk: Professor Guy McPherson "Abrupt Climate Change"

Professor Emeritus Guy McPherson coined the phrase, Abrupt Climate Change. The word “abrupt” is a simplified word to stand for both “exponential” and “dominated by self-reinforcing feedbacks.”

The Commission on Police Practices City Charter Amendment has been presented to the City Council Rules Committee in April. The committee members have asked that Police Chief Nisleit & the Police Officers Association come to the June 13th meeting in order to hear their side. We will be back in force with signs and signing up to speak during public comment.
