This workshop is a chance to empower youth for building grassroots campaigns focusing on progressive issues that are pertinent to their lives. It will bring together high school activists and provide tools for linking youth with causes that they care about.

This workshop will be one day-long event that includes group work in which students will focus on leadership, organizing, media, diversity, and ways to affect change within the school system.

Afternoon sessions will be issue breakout sessions designed so that participants can get in-depth ideas and strategies for organizing around specific issues.

This event is planned by students, led by students, and for students!

ALSO:

  • Lunch will be provided
  • Entertainment that night will include a concert featuring bands, MCs, and spoken word
