The Privacy Advocacy Board – which we, along with our TRUST SD coalition, successfully pushed the San Diego City Council to create, is considering the Police Department’s request for hundreds of AI-equipped so-called “Smart Streetlights” which gather an enormous amount of data, including license plate tracking and 24 hour video recording.
